Business involvement for the Nottingham Post Business Awards, which returns on Wednesday 22 May, is still coming in thick and fast.
Among this year’s confirmed sponsors which include Gateley Plc, Tate, Western Power Distribution and Shakespeare Martineau, is De Vere who is certainly no stranger to the annual occasion.
The UK’s leader in dedicated business spaces has been involved with the local awards for a number of years and is once again supporting the event as sponsors behind the Not-for-Profit Organisation of the Year Award.
De Vere has over 20 unique properties across the county including Nottingham’s The De Vere Orchard Hotel.
Situated on 330-acre of landscaped parkland on the University of Nottingham’s campus the hotel incorporates 202 bedrooms, five meeting rooms, gym, bar and Brasserie.
The De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre, where the business awards’ is taking place and has done for 5 years, sits adjacent to the Orchard Hotel and has become the venue of choice for many other exhibitions, awards ceremonies and AGM’s.
Tom Waldron-Lynch works at The De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre as the General Manager. He has been the figure behind their sponsorship and said: “These awards enable us to become closer to the business community and support local companies and organisations.
“Through hosting various events at the venue, we see the importance of all the hard work these organisations do for the community and this is the perfect time to celebrate their achievements.”
“Over the past 30 years” Mr Waldron-Lynch added, “we have hosted thousands of events, meetings and trade shows at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre and Orchard Hotel; which have brought several thousand people to the area.
“This has also benefited the local community, it’s businesses and the local economy.”
The business awards’ action will start with a Champagne reception, before guests are escorted to their tables for a three-course meal, fundraising games, a silent auction, entertainment and of course the award presentation.
