Ian Patilla, Managing Director at The WBS Group has praised the Nottingham Post Business Awards for playing “a vital role in shaping the regional business landscape” and helping to “attract further investment into the region from likeminded businesses.”
Mr Patilla heads up the mechanical, electrical design and installation company which has proudly put its name to this year’s business awards.
The company recently revealed it was headlining the event and has now announced that its support will extend to one of the 15 awards set to be celebrated on Wednesday 22 May.
Nominations are now closed for the awards, but those entered into the Start-Up Business of the Year will benefit from The WBS Group’s support.
Mr Patilla and his team have been busy selecting just three finalists including one winner ahead of all shortlisted businesses being announced later this month.
Commenting on the benefits that will come for those selected, Mr Patilla said: “Being shortlisted for the Nottingham Post Business Awards can give businesses a stronger position against competitors and a greater awareness within the region.
“Prospective customers can see this as an indicator of trust-worthiness, by demonstrating credentials in a public awards ceremony.
“Finalists also benefit from highly valuable publicity both before and after the event, through both print and social media.”
The East Midlands Conference Centre is the hosting venue for the awards and will welcome representatives from some of the region’s brightest businesses who all reside within Nottingham’s close-knit business community.
A proud part of this community, Mr Patilla explained the elements that he believes makes Nottingham a special place to work: “Nottingham is a sought-after location for businesses to establish themselves, with its great transport links and the inclusiveness of the local business community.
“There is a strong community spirit among businesses in the area, and the Nottingham Post Business Awards is just one way in which businesses can come together to support one another in their ventures and achievements.”
The WBS Group joins a stellar line-up of category sponsors which include: Western Power Distribution, HSBC UK, Stirland Paterson Group and BMI The Park Hospital to name just a few.
