The annual Nottingham Post Business Awards is set to return and on Wednesday 22 May 2019, the East Midlands Conference Centre will be abuzz with some of the region’s brightest business people. With its endless networking possibilities, exclusive chance for exposure and the opportunity to praise likeminded businesses, the awards draw in support from sponsors and event partners alike.

One business who has got behind the awards for the first time is Roythornes Solicitors, a top 200 commercial law firm with particular skills in agriculture and food, development and planning, commercial property and private client work.  Their employees are regularly listed in the leading legal guides and in 2017 and 2018 consecutively the firm were listed by the London Stock Exchange as one of the ‘Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’.

Thrilled to further their impact on the local Nottinghamshire area, and partner with the awards, Vember Mortlock, Managing Director at Roythornes commented:

“Every day we work with some great businesses, but it’s not often that their work is recognised.  Being part of the awards shows our commitment to the Nottingham business scene and lets us join in celebrating some of the amazing people and organisations that are driving growth and providing employment in the region.

“We’re looking forward to meeting and supporting innovators and industry leaders at the awards’ evening and are delighted to be part of the event.”

Often, the businesses who get behind the awards do so as a way of furthering their support of the local Nottinghamshire community. And, Vember explained, how, through the firm’s day-to-day work they have a great influence on the local business community:“We see ourselves very much as business advisors as well as lawyers, and often companies will come to us with their plans for expansion not realising that there may be other more efficient ways to structure the deal or meet their growth objectives.

“By suggesting alternatives and talking clients through the options we help them flourish in the right way and gear them up for the future. Essentially our team is part of Nottingham’s business community, contributing to the long-term success of the region’s businesses.”

The Nottingham Post Business Awards acts as a stage for businesses to share their past achievements as well as their future plans, ambitions and movements. It also gives business sponsors and partners the chance to do the same, and so with this in mind, Vember outlined some of the key areas that Roythornes Solicitors will be focussing on in the coming 12 months:

“We’ve recently invested in our private client team which means we can offer business owners the same high level of expertise in their personal affairs as in their business. At the same time, we have firmly established our credentials in the city as being the ideal team to have on board.

“Next year we plan to further grow the firm and increase awareness of the extensive team of recognised experts we already have. We want to recruit talented individuals with a positive outlook on growth, who will not only take our vision forward but also help Nottingham businesses succeed.”
