There are just a few weeks remaining until the nominations for the Nottingham Post Business Awards close and as well as nominations coming in thick and fast so too is support from sponsors. A number of high-profile businesses from the local area have revealed their sponsorship of the annual event. And, The WBS Group is the latest name to provide their backing to the event as both category and headline sponsors!

The event, which has increasingly become one of the most talks about evenings of the region’s business calendar, is set to take place on Wednesday 22 May 2019 with a black-tie awards ceremony at the East Midlands Conference Centre. The WBS Group of companies are a mechanical and electrical design and installation company specialising in design and installation of mechanical and electrical services to projects across the UK, Europe and Asia. The group, who serve the hotel and leisure market delivering specialist data centre fit out and complex developments, joins Mazars, Gateley Plc and ITV as headline sponsors of the event and will benefit from their branding used across the evening’s marketing collateral such as brochures, banners and AV.

Ian Patilla is the company’s Managing Director and is thrilled to have confirmed their support as headline sponsors as he explained the reasoning for it:“We are sponsoring the Nottingham Post Business Awards because we believe in giving our support to an event which provides the opportunity to showcase and reward the local business talent located within the East Midlands area.” A name that holds a presence in the Midlands as well as on a national and global level, The WBS Group have a commitment to playing a positive role in business communities in all the locations they operate in.

However, with their head offices based in the Midlands, there is clear support for businesses in this region and Ian outlined how he sees the business impacting others in the area:  “Our business has moved with the demands and shifts in global technology and we have moved to multiple locations of operation; however, our head office remains located in Long Eaton with a commitment to employing local people. “We also believe in the continued development and training of our local employee skill base and to give opportunities to local companies to work in partnership with us in various locations. We believe in utilising local expertise to help us deliver a quality end product.”
