From hospitality and retail to tourism and professional services, Nottinghamshire has an impressive business landscape with a business community at the heart of it that is dedicated to making the city and wider region a great one to live, work and play in. And, this May the region’s business community is getting a boost with the return of the annual Nottingham Post Business Awards.

Taking place at the East Midlands Conference Centre on 29 May, the event will celebrate the past 12 months and bring to light the biggest success stories from the region’s business community.

Outside of the businesses who have entered into one of the 14 categories, the awards also attract other businesses who want to support the event and raise a toast to success.

One business that has demonstrated continued support is Champions Speakers Agency. The company which is itself located in the East Midlands, provides world-class after dinner and motivational speakers to brands and events needing a boost from a well-known figure.

With a portfolio of speakers from the world of business, sport, entertainment, television and music, the agency books more than 3500 speakers each year and has secured speakers in over 38 countries.

Jack Hayes is the Director at Champions Speakers Agency and he explained their continued association with the awards:

“We have been a key supporter of the Nottingham Post Business Awards since its conception and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing it grow from strength to strength ever since. We continue to support it because it’s a one-of-a-kind event in the region, no other event praises the region’s businesses quite like this.”

He continued:

“The event always goes above and beyond praising business success though. It is always an opportunity for hardworking individuals and businesses to down tools and enjoy an evening of great entertainment and food.”

Jack went on to explain the importance of championing the successes of local and fellow businesses and entrepreneurs. He said:

“Nottingham is lucky in that it has an extremely positive and inclusive business community and by saluting others’ successes we are only ever strengthening the relationships within it. We have been part of Nottingham’s business community for over 15 years and no matter how big or how small, or how established or new a business is, a great morale boost always comes as a positive consequence of business praise.”
